The Cub Cadet XT2-LX 42 is a residential lawn tractor powered by a 20 HP Kohler KT720 twin-cylinder cast iron engine with a 747cc displacement and key start. It features a 42-inch heavy-duty fabricated AeroForce cutting deck supporting discharge, mulching, and bagging, with QuickAttach tool-free deck attachment, manual PTO engagement, 2 blades, and 12 cutting height positions ranging from 1 to 4 inches.
The tractor uses a Tuff Torq K46 hydrostatic transmission with foot pedal control, reaching a forward speed of 5.5 mph and a reverse speed of 3 mph. It includes a robotically welded frame with e-coating corrosion protection, a heavy-duty cast iron front axle, disc brakes, an optimized manual sector and pinion steering system, and a 16-inch turning radius. Comfort features include a Cub Comfort high-back seat with lever adjustment, seat spring suspension, armrests, and 2 LED headlights.
